Winterland Hasselt is the cosiest Christmas village in Belgium. For 7 weeks, it is the perfect
location for a winter excursion, in combination with the city of Hasselt. Young and old alike
will enjoy the friendly atmosphere, delicious food and drink, varied attractions, and fabulous
shopping opportunities.

This is the 16th anniversary of Winterland Hasselt. Over the years, it has grown from a
modest Christmas market to an amazing winter village where even Santa has a house!
Winterland will be held in Hasselt, the capital city of Limburg, from Friday, 15 November
2024 through Sunday, 5 January 2025. During this period, the Kolonel Dusartplein will be
transformed into a winter wonderland.

The main attractions:

Grand Café
The Grand Café is a large, cosy winter chalet with a homely feel. It’s the perfect place for
little something to eat and drink. The focus here is on spending time with friends, family, or
colleagues. The calendar on our website has a list of special theme evenings, events, and
guest performances. If you fancy a tropical salsa lesson, a spot of line dancing, or another
theme evening, then this is the place for you. The adjoining Aspen Lounge, which has the
ambience of a bar in the Rocky Mountains, is the perfect place to relax.

Indoor ice rink
Enjoy our 1,000-m² rink Its beautiful décor creates an enchanting atmosphere. Thanks to the
transparent roof, you can enjoy skating no matter what the weather is like!

Christmas market
With 80 participants from 11 different countries, this is the largest Christmas market in the
region. Many craftspeople sell products from their own region, while others make original
Christmas presents on site. The Christmas market alone is more than enough to make a visit
to Winterland Hasselt worth your while.

Food and drink
In addition to a range of mulled wine and jenever bars, there is an amazing array of food
stalls. German bratwurst, Belgian fries, Spanish churros, waffles from Liège, Flemish
beignets, a soup bar, and Finnish Flammlachs are just a few of the options... Yum!

There are a lot of attractions, including Santa’s House
There are lots of activities at Winterland Hasselt. Tremble in the Christmas Ghost House or
take a ride on the roller-coaster. Try your hand at archery or have a whirl on our magnificent
grand carousel. There’s fun for young and old!
Santa’s House is definitely worth a visit! It is a faithful replica of the ‘Home of Santa Claus’ in
Rovaniemi, Finland. If you visit Santa Claus, he will have a present for any small children with
you. It’s unique in Belgium!
